For me, being a researcher is synonymous with being a learner – and over the years, I’ve come to realise just how much I value learning. I love that moment when something ‘lands’ – or even when it doesn’t, and you have to stretch yourself until it clicks. I’m energised by the process of spotting patterns, drawing connections between ideas, and noticing how my perspective shifts as I open myself to new knowledge. This, along with my love of writing and curiosity about the mind-body, has led me to begin my research PhD in January 2026, funded by the University of Sussex.

I will be researching somatics and embodiment through a fascia-informed lens, in the context of body image disturbance and eating disorders. It was my own experience of an eating disorder and the recovery that followed that first struck a match and ignited my lifelong fascination with the mind-body.
